World leader in genomic testing brings 85K Chip to Australia & New Zealand

Speckle Park is a modern Canadian beef breed, officially recognized in 2006. Developed by crossing British Aberdeen Angus and Shorthorn cattle, its unique speckled coat traces back to a single bull with markings from the British White Park breed.
The first Speckle Park cattle arrived in Australia in 2007, and the Australian Speckle Park Association now manages registrations across Australia and New Zealand.
Renowned for their efficiency, carcass quality, and ease of management, Speckle Park cattle are early-maturing and adaptable to a variety of environments. Producers report excellent finishing ability, high dress percentages (often approaching 60%), even fat distribution, and outstanding marbling.
These attributes are complemented by strong fertility, hybrid vigor in crossbreeding programs, and a quiet, polled temperament.
We are proud to work with the Commercial Speckle Park breeders to provide affordable, accessible and accurate genomic testing solutions.
We invest in cutting-edge technologies that empower producers to make breeding decisions that are faster, smarter, and more profitable.
Cattle parentage testing uses DNA analysis to accurately identify the sire and dam of an animal. By comparing genetic markers from calves and potential parents, the test provides a reliable confirmation of pedigree, helping producers to:
85,000 SNPs of specifically selected Bos Taurus and Bos Indicus content for Australian and New Zealand operations. The Bovine VERSA 85K has been developed to increase accuracies for all breeds of cattle when used in genetic evaluations, translating directly into real value on farm.
