Imported from King Ranch, USA in 1952, Santa Gertrudis were among the first tropically adapted beef breeds introduced to Australia, later arriving in New Zealand in 1969. Bred to perform in harsh environments, they offer exceptional longevity, fertility and growth.

Large, red in coat colour and highly adaptable, Santa Gertrudis are calm, easy-calving and efficient converters of feed into weight gain. They perform equally well on pasture or in feedlots and are ideal for crossbreeding and producing high-yield carcasses.
